The rooms are artistically designed to make you feel like you're in an alpine cave in the depths of winter.

The Ice Grotto & Ice Igloo

Freezing together in midsummer? Yes of course! Our ice grotto or the ice igloo definitely invite you to do so. With temperatures of approx. -2° to -10°C, it can be endured here for a few minutes. Of course, an ice grotto does not consist of pure ice, but snow and ice crystals form on the walls and floor, down to small icicles, which will delight visitors. In the foreground of the ice grotto facility is a very well insulated room, which we will then optically design according to your wishes, as far as this is desired. The technology includes a heat exchange/air conditioning system, which is designed in such a way that it can cool the room down to at least -20° in theory, in order to have enough reserve even if there are several people and high outside temperatures, even if these temperatures are rarely set or required . The second part is our specially made ice machines, which then take care of the snow and ice. In the cooled room is then

real snow and ice during operation. The little guests in particular find it great to form little snowballs and play here, but it's also a great change from the normal shower facilities for the older guests, as a way to cool off. With the snow and ice, dirt and sweat can be removed from the sauna session by gently rubbing it in, which also creates a light peeling and really gets the circulation going. When the plant closes in the evening, all the plants are defrosted for hygienic reasons and the excess water conveniently disappears via the floor drain, as if nothing had happened. This rhythm is repeated every day so that guests always have fresh ice or snow to cool down. Due to the high energy requirement, a combination of a solar system or energy recovery systems from a sauna, spa and ice grotto is a good addition. We would be happy to advise you on your options.
