Medical Infrared Cabin

Climate:
Temperature: 35°C to 42°C.
Humidity: dry.

Deep heat is effective heat. Body and soul benefit from its effects.

FIRE+ICE has developed an infrared deep thermotherapy cabin to be used mainly in medical spas. This type of heat reaches the tissues way below the skin, dilates the blood vessels and increases blood circulation. Deep heat is distributed throughout the body via the circulation and can thus produce its salutary effects.

Colours are known to cause a sense of harmony, purity and rest. That’s why FIRE+ICE uses colour light to trigger impulses that influence the autonomic nervous system and, thus, control the whole body.

Needless to say, the environment influences the emotional disposition as well. So, FIRE+ICE prefers selected, precious wood like cedar wood, which gives the cabin a characteristic fragrance.

To create a multifunctional medical spa cabin, a brine-oxygen inhalation system can be installed in this infrared cabin.

Comments on the different types of radiation:

INFRARED CABIN (with infrared C radiation elements)
In conventional infrared cabins with long-wave infrared radiators (infrared B or C), only the surface of the body is exposed to heat (like in a sauna). There is no deep heat effect.

DEEP HEAT CABINS (with whole-spectrum radiators)
The body is heated directly by radiation covering the whole infrared spectrum (A, B and C) rather than through the heated air (convection). Short-wave infrared A radiation penetrates the body and heats it from inside towards outside.

Use

Deep heat has a mild and uniform effect and does not overheat the epidermis. In a way, sweat comes from inside the body and is not produced due to a defence reaction to overheated environments (e. g. air and steam in a sauna). Furthermore, the inhalation of hot air, which imposes a strain on the circulation, can thus be avoided.

Deep heat provides a pleasant and useful warm-up before sport’s practice or in preparation for massages.

Medical deep heat is a valuable adjunct in the treatment of stress symptoms, exhaustion, common cold and flu-like conditions, muscular tension, low back pain, inflammatory joint disease and rheumatism, disorders of local blood circulation, cellulitis, skin problems, metabolic and cardiovascular disorders, for detoxification and weight reduction and to treat sports injuries.
