Sleeping on cloud nine.
The unique features of oil beds are due to three-dimensional pressure distribution.
Liquid is displaced whenever you lie down on an oil bed. Thus, the pressure is uniformly distributed over the whole surface of the bed, and most of the strain is taken off those parts of the body that are subject to the greatest strain (usually the shoulders and the bottom). At the same time, the spine is supported.
Oil beds feel almost like water beds. However, you don’t sink in as deeply as in a water bed and it’s easier to turn over.
