In the past, the Hamam was used in the Middle East as a pleasure resort, where travellers washed away the desert sand and recovered their strength before continuing their journey. Body and mind took a bath in the gentle heat and subdued light of the Hamam.

 

It takes a lot of expertise and sensivity to carry on an almost forgotten tradition in the present time. FIRE+ICE uses modern technology to revive original Turkish Hamam tradition.

Our Hamam can be supplied in the original style of the Middle East or as a modern spa, e. g. using noble glass mosaic.

In any case, the time-tested ratio of rising temperatures to air humidity must remain unchanged.

 

Use

Experience an ancient Turkish tradition with a thorough cleaning ceremony.

You are lying alone or with your partner on a big hot stone and you are being peeled by the “Tellak” with a silk glove. Your skin is then treated with olive soap and rubbed with a soap brush.

From time to time, cool to pleasantly warm water is poured on your skin to increase blood circulation. The application of fine, pleasant oils is the culmination of this treatment.
